Administrative Manager I / Attorney Trainer
Children’s Law Center, USC School of Law
Responsibilities:
- Develops and conducts training for DSS staff and legal professionals on issues related to the Multi-Ethnic Placement Act
- Assists with other training programs including participation in mock trials, provision of training to foster parents, and training for related professionals
- Coordinates multi-disciplinary child abuse investigative teams training
- Prepares written resource materials
Minimum Qualifications:
- Law degree
- Membership in S.C. Bar or another state bar
- Five years of legal experience, including practice in family court and child protection proceedings
- Knowledge of child protection laws and federal and state laws relating to foster care and adoption
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training or teaching experience strongly preferred
- Managerial experience
Position Information:
- State pay band 7
- Funded through contract
- Salary $51,790 – 64,290 depending upon qualifications
- Includes state benefits
- Frequent in-state travel required, including occasional overnight travel
