Administrative Manager I / Attorney Trainer
Children’s Law Center, USC School of Law

Responsibilities:   

• Develops and conducts training for DSS staff and legal professionals on issues related to the Multi-Ethnic Placement Act
• Assists with other training programs including participation in mock trials, provision of training to foster parents, and training for related professionals
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary child abuse investigative teams training
• Prepares written resource materials

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Law degree
• Membership in S.C. Bar or another state bar
• Five years of legal experience, including practice in family court and child protection proceedings 
• Knowledge of child protection laws and federal and state laws relating to foster care and adoption
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training or teaching experience strongly preferred
• Managerial experience

Position Information:

• State pay band 7
• Funded through contract
• Salary $51,790 – 64,290 depending upon qualifications
• Includes state benefits 
• Frequent in-state travel required, including occasional overnight travel
